2024 European Society of Hypertension clinical practice guidelines for the management of arterial hypertension. Endorsed by the European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM), European Renal Association (ERA), and International Society of Hypertension (ISH)

The ESH 2024 Clinical Practice Guidelines provide a novel concise format that supports the dissemination of the most important information of the Guidelines for the management and its implementation into clinical practice.

2023 ESH Hypertension Guidelines

The European Society of Hypertension (ESH) released the updated and expanded 2023 ESH Guidelines for the Management of Arterial Hypertension at the 32nd Annual European Meeting on Hypertension and Cardiovascular Protection Meeting in Milan, Italy.

The full final version of the guidelines is available on the Journal of Hypertension website.

We are very thankful for the continued support of the National Hypertension Societies across Europe and beyond. With their help, the 2021 ESH practice guidelines for office and out-of-office blood pressure measurement have been translated into various languages.

The dissemination of the guidelines is an important goal for ESH. The translation of the guidelines facilitates the diffusion of important information to improve the accuracy of the diagnosis of hypertension and thereby optimize its management.

ESH has established a new Working Group on Environment in Hypertension. We invite all ESH members and anyone interested in this topic to participate in this new WG.

The Symposium of the Working Group “Environment in Hypertension” of the European Society of Hypertension, took place in Krakow on October 10-12, 2024 (ESH) combined with the Krakow Hypertension Conference.
